About the Role

To ensure the company’s legal compliance, managing legal risks, and supporting strategic initiatives. This position is responsible for providing expert legal advice, overseeing contract management, supporting corporate governance, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Research on legal development within the insurance and related industries
  • Provide corporate and legal advice to the company’s business and operations
  • Assist the Legal Manager in providing legal advice which includes drafting and reviewing agreements, contracts and other relevant documents
  • Assist the Legal Manager in preparing the documentation with external lawyers on litigation against the company
  • Coordinate all corporate exercises involving the company
  • Ensure group policies and relevant local laws are properly maintained and are up to date
  • Work with internal stakeholders on project basis, when required
  • Communicate closely with the working group from relevant authorities
  • Manage the delivery of communication between the company and relevant stakeholders
  • Perform other duties assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experiences, preferably in insurance or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of insurance law, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience in contract negotiation, litigation, and corporate governance
  • Good written and verbal command of English & Myanmar
  • Strong organizational skills, good presentation and report writing skills
  • High integrity & responsibility, good inter-personal skills, and good attitude
