You have the opportunity to join our team as International Trade Operations Specialist at our Offices located in Guadalajara (Mexico).
As International Trade Operations Specialist, you will be responsible to manage Customs Brokers and Control Tower to coordinate import and export for MesoAndean. The ITO Specialist is accountable and empowered to achieve service and cost targets to delight our customers from order placement through delivery at port or destination, while meeting Trade compliance requirements.
The role requires a high degree of effective interpersonal communication and diplomacy skills to interact with a broad range of key internal contacts and externally with our Customs brokers, Government Agencies, overseas freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers and shipping sites, while driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for management of Customs Brokers and Control Tower activities.
Leads Imports and Exports operational issues and escalations with Exporting/Importing regions and drive alignment across all relevant stakeholders.
Ensure the accomplish of Compliance Corteva Global policies.
Lead Performance and Improvement Meetings with Customs Broker and Control Tower.
Ensure an effective and workable procedures to fulfil customs requirements.
Responsible for all Import & Export processes, considering customs/phytosanitary regulation, compliance, logistics and budget aspects.
Propose and implement saving projects for the Commercial Unit.
Work cross-functionally with Regulatory, Procurement, Master Data, Compliance and warehouses to ensure that all trade compliance requirements are met.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in international Trade or Supply Chain, Logistics.
At least 3 years of experience in Customs, Trade Compliance or Supply Chain areas.
English proficiency – Advanced.
Availability to work 40% on site/ 60% from home.
Experience with SAP & GTS is preferred.
Clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Teamwork / Collaboration within the team and with cross-functional stakeholders.
Customer focus and passion for logistics.
