HP Inc.'s Supply Chain is undergoing an accelerated transformation toward functional excellence.  To help ensure our teams are Future Ready, the organization is seeking a highly-committed professional to lead a team in the development and execution of an advanced and comprehensive learning and development (L&D) program.

In this critical global role, you will identify and build learning and development programs that prepare and upskill HP’s Supply Chain professionals for the functional skills of today and tomorrow.  You will have played a key role in transforming HP’s Supply Chain and build a long-lasting Supply Chain L&D organization that is resilient in the face of challenges and fully prepared to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead.

This role will lead with analytical rigor, a dedication to strengthening employee skills, capabilities and experiences, while building sustaining processes for scale and will report to the Supply Chain Chief of Staff.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • STRATEGIC THINKING: You'll work closely with our Supply Chain leaders to define our learning and development strategy, determine priorities, and deliver polished L&D solutions that captivate users and drive exceptional business outcomes.

  • SOLUTION DEPLOYMENT:  Manage the roll-out and execution of the upskilling, L&D programs and processes across the Supply Chain organization, in line with the agreed upon calendar, including program launches, while monitoring quality and compliance, to ensure full and timely completion before developing and recommending on-going improvements.

  • SKILLS ASSESSMENT: Identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities in our technical capabilities and create world class programs – internally or in partnership with best-in-breed providers.  

  • INNOVATION:  Build new and innovative L&D programs and ways of learning in our fast-moving, hybrid world by staying abreast and presenting the latest developments in learning trends, changes in learning theory, developments in learning technologies and Future Ready Supply Chain skills. 

  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAM LEADERSHIP: Champion a ‘One Team’ approach to Supply Chain employee learning & development by collaborating with HPs People Organization and Corporate Talent, Learning & Development function to create a more integrated and holistic approach to learning and career development.  

  • CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Drive Supply Chain-wide awareness, adoption, and engagement of the L&D programs and the importance of lifelong learning and development, leading by influence and transforming how Supply Chain employees train, learn and develop.   

  • METRICS & MEASUREMENT: Identify KPIs and track and measure success metrics across learning, business, and people outcomes. 

  • PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: Manage, mentor, and lead Supply Chain Learning & Development team members, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring team members are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed.

  • STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Establish partnerships with a wide network of colleagues to ensure implementation of best practices and the optimal use of resources.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • Proven Learning and Development Leader: A passionate senior leader with 10+ years of experience leading L&D in a global organization with a proven track record of delivering tangible business and people outcomes.

  • Experience launching and scaling new and innovative learning programs globally. 

  • Industry Knowledge and Expertise: Strong knowledge of the SCOR model and related roles/skills/capabilities Supply Chain professionals needed today and in the future.  

  • Understanding of the Supply Chain field with a pulse on L&D and industry best practices.  Deep sense of curiosity and a learning mindset. 

  • Demonstrated and effective practices of galvanizing teams, building cross-functional and cross-geography support to drive impact and results, and proactively tap into data-driven (qualitative and quantitative) transformational insights to inform decision-making and improve output. 

  • Executive presence with strong communication skills to influence at all levels including senior executives.

  • Demonstrative ability to develop and articulate a compelling vision, and deliver storytelling through data. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience leading in a large multi-national organization is preferred.

  • Strong business acumen with excellent influencing and consultancy skills and the ability to understand and speak the language of the business.

  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate in order to prioritize and plan activities

  • Ability to lead virtual teams, manage, coach and motivate others

  • Strong ability to work with ambiguity and changing set of circumstances and issues

  • Ability to quickly assimilate complex information and take independent action where necessary

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and budget

  • Strong collaborator of people, ideas, processes and issues. Builds helpful, productive relationships across the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead and manage high-performing teams in a fast-paced and changing business environment

  • Deep understanding of the critical role that talent plays in advancing business strategies and results

  • Experience implementing aspects of evaluation models with actionable results.

  • Extensive experience in needs assessment and curriculum design for diverse audiences and on a broad range of topics.

  • Executive-level business acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices and emerging trends

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of Human Resources, Business Administration or similar.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain operations

  • Minimum of 10+ years of leadership and management experience of leadership and management experience (including managing a corporate learning or talent management function)

  • Minimum of 10+ years of broad HR experience, including Talent Development and/or Management, Leadership Development and Management Training, Performance Management, and designing/implementing/managing multiple complex projects across multiple geographies (globally, a plus) and business areas in a Shared Service environment.
