We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team dedicated to developing the next generation of Air Traffic Control (ATC) expansion software. In this role, you will be maintaining legacy systems and learning about future development systems using existing software practices and leveraging cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance our work environment. 

Job Description:

About the Role: As a Software Engineer focusing on Adaptation Engineering within the Enroute Automation Modernization System (ERAM) program, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration and functionality of air traffic management systems. Your expertise will contribute to the modernization and enhancement of the systems that support air traffic control operations.  Adaptation is the environmental database for the Enroute Air Traffic System. 

The Software (adaptation) engineer will learn to:

  • Read control floor layouts and develop database entries to reflect operational implementations. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate adaptation solutions into the ERAM system, ensuring compatibility and performance. 
  • Analyze and interpret system requirements to develop adaptation strategies that meet operational needs. 
  • Manage system configurations and ensure that adaptation changes are accurately documented and implemented. 
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of adaptation solutions to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards. 
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to system adaptation, providing timely support to maintain system integrity. 
  • Prepare detailed documentation of adaptation processes, configurations, and changes for future reference and audits. 
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance system performance and adaptation processes through innovative solutions.

Impact:

Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables. Responsible for specific aspects or processes within a technical area.  Collaborate within a cross-functional team (including adaptation group members, ERAM project stakeholders, architects, software developers, systems engineers, and leadership) to design, deploy, and maintain the current ERAM system as well as future ERAM enhancements.

Complexity:

Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00
