Overview
The Control Room Manager principally accountable to manage the control room operations in accordance with the Personal Account Dealing framework, this role ensures the necessary processes and controls are in place by monitoring methodologies to meet all regulatory and policy requirements, achieve strong control oversight, identify, assess and report any risk of potential regulatory breaches and non-compliance incidences, and establish Management and Board updates in accordance with the framework
Key Responsibilities:
Work with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Business Unit Compliance Officers, Business Unit Compliance Representatives, HLISB Compliance) to maintain the list of relevant staff who are subject to Personal Account Dealing framework requirements and carry out reviews/validation of relevant staffs’ personal trades;
Work closely with relevant stakeholders to carry out investigations for any potential regulatory breaches and potential incidences of non-compliance with the Personal Account Dealing framework requirements;
Tracking and record keeping of relevant staffs’ document submission in relation to the Personal Account Dealing framework;
Provision of advisory services for queries relating to the Personal Account Dealing framework;
Take on additional responsibilities as and when assigned by Senior Management and/or the Board.
Stand in as relief for Head of Department.
Job Requirements
Degree in Accounting/Finance/Banking/Economics/Law
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a banking and financial institution with specialization in legal, compliance, risk or audit.
Knowledge of banking-related regulatory requirements and products is a must.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, through all levels of the organization.
Leadership with the ability to see the big picture without losing attention to detail.
Possess analytical and critical thinking skills.
Effective time management.
