Sales Solution Consultant – Pre-Sales  – (12+ Years) – Mumbai

About the team 

  • Responsible for positioning FIS as an industry leader, leveraging card payments domain expertise, knowledge of FIS card payments solutions and your understanding of the payment market.
  • Responsibilities include supporting sales activities with executive level interactions, support the sales team with insights into the sales motion and buying behavior of the client.
  • Working closely with the Sales Managers/Executives in India and South Asia who are responsible for sales business development activities with prospects and existing clients for Payment products.
  • You will play an integral role in the sales process utilizing in-depth card payments product knowledge to provide business and technical expertise in uncovering prospect requirements and identifying product functionality gaps to develop, recommend and package the best possible product/solutions and/or services for client prospects through sales presentations and product demonstrations. 
  • The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with major banks, financial institutions, processors and fintech/challenger banks and assist them with their card payment solution strategies.

What you will be doing

  • Packaging solutions and organizing, planning, creating & delivering compelling proof of concept demonstrations
  • Supporting sales activity including attending meetings, qualifying deals.
  • Review lead generation from campaign/events, and support the qualification process
  • Ensure successful service demonstrations and use-case walkthroughs
  • The role will require establishing a strong collaboration and partnership attitude from the solution consulting team with the sales organisation as well as other teams within product management, client engagement, professional services and card payments line of business.
  • Liaise with all the implementation and product engineering teams to define the functional and technical specifications and prepare technical documentation.
  • Review the effort estimates, justifying or rejecting them to revisions and converting such inputs into the commercial proposal with help of finance team.
  • Tracking and publishing the progress on sales opportunities and reporting.
  • End to end documentation for proposals, agreements, RFP and RFI responses.
  • Preparing presentations and material for demo sessions.
  • Submission of proposals and RFPs on behalf of the Deal core team.
  • Ensuring solutions stated in the Statement of Work are best practice and in line with client requirements
  • Managing the sales bid process by responding to RFI’s & RFP’s
  • Working closely with Sales to ensure successful closure of the sales process
  • Liaising with Product Managers to provide feedback from clients about product requirements
  • Keeping abreast of market trends and product & competitor landscapes
  • Preparing the content for the Sales teams promoting the products and for POC and Demos conducted for internal and external audience.
  • Independently handling and facing the clients
  • Training on products to be managed and imparted to Sales teams

What you bring:

  • 12+ years card payments industry experience
  • 10+ years in presales and/or business solutions role
  • A flair on documentation – technical and presentations
  • Experience in Business development will help
  • Solutioning, domain knowledge, presentation skills, consultation abilities.
  • Ample exposure in Payments domain and solution stacks and applications.
  • Basic understanding of the commercial benefits and business cases in Retail Payments domain.
  • Knowledge of regulations for the respective products will be preferred.
  • Must possess strong presentation skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in English while additional regional languages / Hindi is added advantage.
  • Contractual obligation assessment and documentation capabilities.
  • Preferred if adept at working with multiple stakeholders
  • Possess strong problem solving and prioritization skills
  • May help a prior experience within presales.

Educational Qualification: Any Degree/MBA
