Position Overview

The Retail Bank Technology Program Management Lead is a strategic professional responsible for the design and maintenance of a comprehensive program of work for Retail Bank Technology.  The Program covers strategic enhancements, remediations, and regulatory issues. This role works in close partnership with The Retail Bank Leadership Team, and Technology teams. Excellent communication skills are required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a large complex program.
  • Work with Program and Project Managers across various teams to help manage solutions
  • Key driver in the management of the scope, schedule, risk, quality and resources for the program
  • Partner with the Technology Business Analyst’s to secure funding and program scope
  • Proactively identify risk within projects, ensuring to escalate finding to key stakeholders.
  • Directs the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Establishes and implements appropriate oversight to ensure that policies and standards are being adhered to and exceptions/at-risk items are escalated as appropriate
  • Engage Business partners ensuring they fully understand the status of the projects, and changes.
  • Ensures all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities, understand the program schedule and key milestones and receive schedule status regularly.
  • Exercises shared responsibility for budget, policy formulation and planning.
  • Applies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
  • Support emerging projects, within Retail Bank Technology
  • Partner with leadership to implement new strategies to manage projects
  • Engage key stakeholders for project change request, ensuring the business knows the impact of these request


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in financial services industry, experience in the, Retail Banking and/or Technology space preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience managing complex projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with functional units; ability to navigate a complex organization; to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level.
  • Excellent  negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project) and SharePoint.
  • Proficient in JIRA, Confluence, and Tableau preferred
  • Familiar with Citi’s Retail Bank Technology Systems preferred


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master's degree

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
