Role Overview:
A trusted technical advisor responsible for driving revenue growth by aligning Secure Service Edge (SSE) solutions—including SWG, CASB, ZTNA, RBI, and Advanced DLP—to complex customer security, compliance, and digital transformation initiatives. Partners closely with sales, product, and customer stakeholders to architect scalable cloud-security solutions, differentiate against competitors, and guide customers from initial discovery through successful adoption.The Presales Solutions Architect (SA) serves as the technical lead in the sales process, owning solution design, technical validation, and security architecture alignment for enterprise and public-sector customers evaluating Secure Service Edge (SSE) platforms. This role bridges business objectives, security requirements, and platform capabilities to drive successful outcomes and long-term customer trust.
Customer Engagement & Solution Architecture
Act as the primary technical advisor for high value and high complexity prospects and customers across the sales lifecycle, from discovery through proof-of-value (POV), design validation, and close.
Architect end-to-end SSE solutions, including:
Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA / Private Access)
Remote Browser Isolation (RBI)
Advanced Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Align solutions to customer security goals such as data protection, zero trust access, cloud migration, regulatory compliance, and threat reduction.
Technical Leadership & Demonstrations
Deliver executive-level and technical deep-dive presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and live product demonstrations tailored to diverse audiences (CISO, CIO, security architects, network teams).
Design and lead POCs/POVs, defining success criteria, guiding implementation, and validating outcomes against customer requirements.
Provide architectural guidance for complex environments involving:
Hybrid and multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Identity providers (Okta, Entra ID, Ping)
Endpoint platforms and security stacks
Competitive & Strategic Differentiation
Position the SSE platform effectively against competitors (e.g., Microsoft, Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto), articulating technical and architectural differentiation.
Address objections related to performance, scale, compliance, and operational impact with data-driven, real-world examples.
Contribute to deal strategy, account planning, and technical win themes in collaboration with Sales, Channel, and Leadership.
Internal Collaboration & Enablement
Serve as the voice of the customer up to our Tech Directors, sharing field insights on feature gaps, roadmap priorities, and usability.
Partner with Customer Success, Professional Services, and Support to ensure smooth transitions from presales to post-sales delivery.
Enable sales teams, SE teams, and partners when needed through technical training, repeatable architectures, and best-practice guidance.
