Saputo’s Nuneaton site is our packaging centre of excellence for our well-known British cheeses including Cathedral City, Wensleydale, and Davidstow Cheddar.

Nuneaton is Saputo’s biggest plant in the UK, with more than 450 employees.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our production team as Machine Operators, internally known as Materials Handling Technicians.

This is a varied role involving manual handling and heavy lifting in some areas, alongside machine setting and running machinery, with progression into fault finding and front-line maintenance of both mechanical and electronic machinery such as HMI screens and PLC systems.

This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment, where your contributions matter.

Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 off / 4 nights on / 4 off etc. Day shift is 06:45 - 19:00, Night shift is 18:45 – 07:00

Salary: £35,576.40 per annum + site bonus scheme up to £920 per annum

Location: Nuneaton, CV10 7RG - Free car parking on site

YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

• Running, cleaning and setting up factory equipment
• Operating and monitoring cutting and packing machines to maintain smooth and efficient production flow
• Carrying out 30-minute quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and compliance to standards
• Working with the rest of the shift team to achieve production targets and maintain high standards
• Ensuring adherence to health & safety, food safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
• Identifying and reporting any equipment issues promptly to minimise downtime
• Maintaining accurate records of quality checks and production data

YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU…

• Have hands-on experience operating and setting up production machinery, ideally in a food manufacturing or high-care environment
• Understand the importance of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards and follow them diligently
• Are detail and quality-focused, with the ability to carry out regular checks and maintain accurate records
• Can work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues to meet production targets and maintain high standards
• Are proactive and reliable
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment
