What You Will Do:
As a Grants Management Managing Consultant, you will lead our clients in building and enhancing their grants management and financial assistance operations. You will leverage your technical expertise, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement to provide full lifecycle grants management support for various areas, including policy development, process improvement, and other grants management modernization activities. This role is an exciting opportunity to guide clients through transformative programs and to be a part of an impactful mission.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Collaborate with private sector clients to establish or enhance grants management processes and procedures across the entire grants lifecycle
Identify and proactively address client needs by presenting potential solutions to challenges or issues
Facilitate client discussions and meetings
Effectively and concisely communicate and present information to clients and leadership
Develop agendas, meeting materials, and talking points in preparation for meetings
Develop high-quality presentations that effectively communicate key objectives and facilitate discussion across multiple stakeholders
Develop and ensure quality deliverables
Participate in business development activities
General project/task management
Manage stakeholder feedback
Participate in internal and external grants management-related training, knowledge management, and thought leadership activities
What You Will Need:
Experience in grants management roles either at a federal agency or consulting firm
Thorough understanding of Uniform Guidance – 2 CFR 200, including Single Audit requirements, and its application to different types of financial assistance
Ability to quickly understand ongoing processes to develop and implement process improvements
Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into tangible documents and/or deliverables
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Ability to identify and address client needs
Advanced proficiency in the full Microsoft Suite, including MS Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Demonstrated critical thinking skills
Experience with facilitation and consensus building
Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with others
Ability to organize, perform, and track multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 5 years’ experience
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Familiarity with the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, Green Banks, or previous work in sustainability
Prior experience standing up or enhancing full cycle grants management processes and procedures
Prior experience in areas of risk management, internal controls, financial management, program management in federal government or non-profit organizations
Grants Management certification from the National Grants Management Association or Management Concepts or other equivalent organizations
Prior experience in supporting/performing grants management-related thought leadership/knowledge management actions – attending/organizing conferences/workshops, writing white papers and journal articles, etc.
Prior experience performing business development actions
