Accounting Team Leader

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Accounting Team Leader to join our Finance team in Strzelin. If you are ready to take ownership of accounting operations, lead a motivated team, and contribute to driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, international environment — we want to meet you.

About the Role

As an Accounting Team Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our accounting team responsible for Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and General Ledger (GL) processes. You’ll ensure that financial activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time — while supporting local business stakeholders and maintaining alignment with corporate reporting standards.

You’ll also play a key role in developing your team, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily accounting operations, ensuring proper coverage for all critical tasks

  • Supervise and support the A/P, A/R, and commissions processes, including workflow monitoring and resource planning

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports

  • Support tax audits, returns, and statutory reporting requirements

  • Identify and resolve reporting system issues in collaboration with the Tech Team

  • Prepare and review monthly corporate reports, reconciliations, and adjustments in line with company standards

  • Drive compliance with accounting standards and contribute to process improvements

  • Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing, engaged accounting team

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders

  • Manage escalations and deliver effective, timely solutions

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including 2+ years in a leadership role

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing practices, and reporting standards

  • Advanced Excel and Word proficiency

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams

  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to continuously develop both technical and leadership skills
