Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Senior Payroll Analyst, based in São Paulo (Brazil)
About you and this role - What you would do in this role
You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll for processing for our organization. Your responsibilities will span various aspects of payroll management, including data analysis, compliance, and efficient payroll operations for Argentina.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Comparison: Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvements. Payroll records comparison, ensuring accuracy and consistency across different periods.
Delegates and escalates queries as appropriate but remains responsible through completion for the reports requested and is able to manage them with the payroll team.
Payroll Fields and Data Requirements: Understand and manage various payroll fields, such as earnings, deductions, and benefits. Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to payroll data, tax withholding, and reporting.
Tracks progress, and provides continuous feedback to requestors on status of their queries.
Payroll Data Input and Processing: Accurately input and process payroll data, including employee hours, bonuses, and adjustments. Validate data entries and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
Payroll Records and Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date payroll records. Document processes, procedures, and changes related to payroll.
Engage in improving Knowledge Base and Case Management content for their assigned discipline, based on experience.
Engages in and drives overall continuous improvement processes (e.g., to reduce inquiry volume).
Compliance and Legal Knowledge: Stay informed about federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Ensure payroll practices align with legal requirements.
Employee Support: Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions. Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Economy.
Advanced Spanish and English Skills
Previous experience in payroll administration or related roles.
Strong understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel
Capability to learn and manage differents payroll and T&A system.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Provide Project Management Skills
Process Organization - Strong organizational skills for process management and documentation.
