May also complete consulting projects with external clients in the area of technology strategy, information systems security, data strategy, systems architecture, custom systems development, new installation and migrations of function/business area applications, application integration web, IP and online solutions and networking.

Designs, codes, tests and/or customizes solutions to meet client requirements.

Role Description

As a Lead Backend Developer, you will play a key role in crafting and implementing scalable backend systems that power our sustainability platform. You’ll lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure robust, high-performance services that integrate seamlessly with our data-driven products.

You're key responsibilities will scale between architectural, development, and participation to the planing.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement microservices architecture for high scalability and reliability.
  • Develop backend services using Python and Go, improving standards and tests during development.
  • Build and optimize data engineering pipelines using Pandas, Polars, and DuckDB.
  • Use Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
  • Drive CI/CD processes using Docker, CircleCI, and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams
  • Architect and deploy solutions on Kubernetes in an event-driven architecture
  • Supply to the evolution of our platform with an eye toward AI-powered products.
     

What We’re Looking For

  • Confirmed ability in backend development, system design. with microservices architecture and cloud-native applications.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP, Kubernetes, and Pub/Sub.
  • Love data engineering and analytical libraries (Pandas, Polars, DuckDB).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Docker.
  • Experience with GitHub, CircleCI, and Terraform.
  • Interest in AI products and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
