What you’ll do in this role:
Our Vice President of Marketing is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of our go-to-market strategy, with the primary responsibility being to develop and lead a world-class team. We purposefully serve the essential industries of healthcare, higher education, and financial institutions, and our mission is to empower organizations to fuel their missions.  You are the ideal candidate if you have a passion for helping customers in critical industries, a track record with meaningful marketing experience and expertise, a love for developing a team and collaborating with others, and a desire to feel as though your work truly matters. Some of your responsibilities would include:

  • Build and execute overall marketing strategy, from demand creation to market differentiation, from communication to branding, and from product marketing to sales enablement and go-to-market
  • Develop the optimal structure for our world-class team, including digital marketing, product marketing, event marketing, content development, social media, and sales enablement functions, supporting team members’ growth over time 
  • Define and map the customer journey and ensure that each touchpoint in the sales process aligns with organizational goals and revenue targets, and is optimized to facilitate deep engagement and conversion at each stage
  • Establish frameworks to measure, monitor, and demonstrate the efficacy and value of marketing efforts
  • Partner with product management, customer success, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment of product offerings with market needs and revenue goals
  • Report regularly to the executive team on key pipeline metrics and health; Collaborate with Finance leadership regularly in support of budget process execution
  • Leverage the organization’s KPIs that provide insights into Marketing performance (including trends); Address any reporting gaps that impact the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Champion the Marketing function, as well as new and innovative ideas, cultivating a culture of creativity across our team
  • Serve as our brand ambassador to drive Strata’s company narrative, including messaging frameworks, website content, event execution, media placement, and other thought leadership efforts
  • Lead engagement efforts to build spokespeople, case studies, videos, etc. to help tell the Strata story 
  • Deploy advanced marketing tools to drive strategy execution

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise marketing; with the last 3 years preferably in healthcare IT
  • 5+ years in a leadership and management role, at either an Executive or Director level
  • Inspirational leader with a track record as a servant-leader, building and developing teams to exceed their potential
  • A customer fanatic: a candidate who understands that no one can tell our story better than our customers and has demonstrated this in their prior roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong ability to plan and execute on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in the SaaS application landscape, with proven success in driving and optimizing demand generation programs
  • Team player and strong collaborator with a variety of people and teams
  • Strategic and outcome-oriented mindset in planning and executing a rigorous and high-impact marketing schedule
  • Ability to identify and analyze data to make informed and thoughtful decisions using web/marketing analytics

The preferred location for this role is in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO. We value our people spending time together and have campuses hosting in-person events located in both cities. We are truly a hybrid environment with all team members experiencing the flexibility to work from home.
