Team Overview:

Our Risk Technology team focuses on delivering innovative solutions for the Rates Trading desks. We develop and maintain a comprehensive suite of risk technology solutions for both Rates and FX (including Derivatives) businesses. This role offers a unique opportunity to tackle complex challenges, contribute to solutions for diverse asset classes within a Tier 1 investment bank, and collaborate with a talented global team serving clients in over 70 countries.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of a portfolio of C# (and some F#) software components.
• Lead a team of experienced developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship
• Collaborate with other team leads and component owners to deliver new features and enhancements
• Work with the planning team to estimate and communicate delivery timelines for business requests
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the components and services under your ownership
• Continuously improve, design, and maintain owned components, ensuring high quality and performance
• Drive technical discussions and decisions, influencing the direction of our technology stack
• Promote best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and documentation

 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience developing .NET applications with a strong understanding of design patterns
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role, mentoring and guiding development teams
• Strong proficiency in .NET Core and Linux environments
• Experience managing and planning feature deliveries using Agile methodologies (Scrum)
• Experience with database and object storage technologies (MSSQL, MongoDB, S3, KDB)
• Familiarity with messaging and event streaming technologies (RabbitMQ, TIBCO EMS, Kafka)
• Proficiency with task management and resource allocation tools (Jira)
• Experience with code management and version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket)
