JR58652 Metrology Process Development Lead

For more than 40 years, Micron Technology, Inc. has redefined innovation with the world’s most advanced memory and semiconductor technologies. We are searching for a Metrology Engineer Lead in India.

In this role, you will lead a team of engineers in the use of next generation metrology equipment to accelerate cycles of learning in technology development at Micron's R&D fabs in US and Japan. We need leaders who are passionate about developing their team, delivering timely solutions to our internal customers, and driving our supplier's road maps to meet our future metrology needs.

This position will provide the opportunity for you to collaborate with process integration, process development, data science, and yield analysis with focus on developing and maintaining next generation metrology solutions.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead team of engineers to execute Metrology focused projects. E.g. new recipe setups, data analysis, CIP (Continuous Improvement Projects) geared towards recipe robustness on early R&D wafers.
  • Work closely with Metrology team in US and Japan in timely execution of metrology projects
  • Collaborate with TD metrology team to develop new techniques and identify creative and innovative ways to use existing analysis tools in order to identify relevant process issues
  • Build a continuous improvement culture and create effective best known methodologies sharing forums!
  • Mentor engineers to develop skills along with capabilities in project management
  • Conduct performance management by creating objectives and tracking leading indicators
  • Maintain efficient and effective allocation of resources to ensure optimal performance of the team

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Solid knowledge in one or more key metrology fields ( CDSEM, OCD/THK, REG, X-Ray) and its applications in semiconductor environment.
  • Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience in leading multi-functional teams to successful resolution of complex problems
  • Proficient data analysis, and statistical techniques skills
  • Ability to lead by example in demonstrating Micron values and leadership competencies
  • Consistent record to lead successful projects while mentoring, coaching, and effectively developing other engineers
  • Programming skills, including Python or R, and SQL. Java or Jmp scripting knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, work environment
  • Good understanding of semiconductor processing

Experience:

Minimum experience is a Senior Engineer or Engineer Supervisor with at least 3 years-experience in leading a team

Education:

Master's or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of industry related experience; in one of the following:

Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or related field.
