We are seeking a talented individual to join our Construction team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Act as lead advisory colleague on medium sized, less complex books of business.
  • Develop an understanding of the clients’ business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs and provide advice accordingly to successfully serve clients.
  • Utilize risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance marketplace to review clients’ exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for standard client needs.
  • Execute renewal/placement strategies in conjunction with the Placement, Advisory Leader and Client Executive and execute in accordance with client instructions.
  • Assist in presentations to prospective clients and develop/suggest innovative solutions to client and client team members to gain new clients and projects.
  • Partner with the Placement Team as required to receive, negotiate and evaluate quotes from carriers to deliver the best options to clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client service needs.
  • Maintain quality in all areas of client deliverables, including monitoring delivery and invoicing to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Keep abreast of changing market conditions and contribute to the firm’s body of knowledge within product line through active internal communication.
  • Assist in handling construction and engineering claims and act as liaison between clients, insurers and loss adjusters.

What you need to have:

  • 5 to 12 years of relevant experience in the re/insurance industry, including broking, underwriting, or claims.
  • Relevant specialty experience in construction-related roles preferred.
  • Excellent people management, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attained minimum Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent. ANZIIF or ACII will be an advantage.
