Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, reliable team player that can add value to our Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Team Member will be responsible for keeping grounds building tools and equipment in safe and working conditions. The Maintenance Team Member must also work in an efficient manner while maintaining a safe, and organized work area.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment
- Operate various hand tools, power tools and equipment used to complete duties including:
- Pneumatic Nail Gun (roofing, framing and finish work)
- Hand Drills
- Saws and grinders
- Welding tools and equipment
- Hand tools
- Preform various maintenance and repair tasks for building tools and equipment.
- Install equipment, appliances, and various systems.
- Keep and maintain maintenance logs
- Respond to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
- Issue tools and equipment to team members.
- Order and inventory tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist other departments as needed by production schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Department Manager/Production Mangers
- Continuous exposure to heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
- Must wear personal protective equipment while at the location.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Be able to read, write, and speak English.
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED), required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge / Experience within the Manufactured Homes or Construction industry.
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Experience with Power tools and hand tools
- Welding Experience
- Analytical skills, ability to solve problems and/or offer alternative solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be available to work overtime and weekends to meet production schedules.
Salary:
- $25-29 Per Hour depending on experience.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.
- Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
- Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Work primarily involves standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
