Account Executive, Surety 

Responsibilities:

Ability to analyze financial statements, gather complete underwriting information and package submission for marketing.

Negotiate with Underwriters and carriers as needed in conjunction with Producer.

Cross—sell identification and coordinate.

Maintain client relationships measured by retention of accounts.

Participate in Center of Influence and Association network lunches/functions.

Proactive in decision making.

Joint client and prospect calls with producers.

Maintain awareness of new developments or changes with the various carriers and communicate to team and clients if appropriate.

Develop and maintain a positive relationship and rapport with each carrier.

Participate in High Performance Team meeting and communicate to team.

Maintain P&C general agents license by attending all required CE classes.

Perform back up responsibilities in absence of the Producer or Account Manager.

Requirements:

Effective task management and prioritization, able to efficiently manage timelines, resources, and various solutions to complete tasks.

General working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Power Apps, workflow engines and other software platforms.

Experience creating or using client-facing and executive level presentations with Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Motivated self-starter with excellent reading comprehension.

 

Education/Experience:

Minimum 3 - 5 years property & casualty insurance experience required.

Experience working in surety or corporate financial underwriting preferred.

Property and Casualty Insurance License.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance or risk management, information systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
