Job Description

What is the opportunity?

In this role you will support the Senior Manager – Governance, Control & Change, in carrying out the assessment of the regulatory compliance framework, audit and governance control of Caribbean Treasury. You will also support in the execution of strategies for the Group, including the promotion of strong Compliance culture to ensure that Treasury complies with its regulatory obligations, internal risk parameters and performance. Also, support in the effective and timely of ongoing risk and performance reporting to executives, board of directors and key stakeholders.

 

What will you do?

  • Review and maintain Corporate Treasury policy suite and all related procedures and documents
  • Support in the preparation, collation, and distribution of Senior Management reports for key CB Governance Committees including but not limited to Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO), Board of Directors, etc.
  • Identify and offer mitigating solutions relating to areas of potential risk including but not limited to policies, procedures and control infrastructure
  • Development of and/or changes in process documents to ensure issues (audit, regulatory, oversight / self-identified) are adequately addressed
  • Support the implementation of new business initiatives that directly impact the success of Corporate Treasury while ensuring key Treasury risks are effective and efficiently mitigated
  • Review and prepare regulatory and other correspondences for Senior Manager Governance, Control & Change for review
  • Provide general adhoc support to the Senior Manager Governance, Control & Change

 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Finance/Economic/Business Administration or equivalent
  • Expert Microsoft Office skills, with special emphasis on Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Problem solving skills, Attention to detail, Strong Time Management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team and cross functional environment
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with regulatory requirements
  • Experience in Treasury/Finance or Investment Management/Law
