About the Role:
This role focuses on building production-ready AI-enabled systems, combining backend/full-stack development and data engineering with machine learning capabilities. The position emphasizes system integration, data pipelines, and AI infrastructure to support intelligent manufacturing applications.
Work Location: Onsite – Zhubei City, Hsinchu County, Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop backend services and full-stack web applications to support AI-driven analysis and system workflows.
- Explore and analyze data from various sources, and develop data visualizations to help users identify, troubleshoot, and prevent AMC-related issues.
- Develop, implement, and fine-tune machine learning models for anomaly detection, pattern discovery, and predictive analysis across multiple product lines.
- Deploy and maintain AI/ML models in production environments, including integration with backend systems and applications.
- Design and maintain AI infrastructure and runtime environments (e.g., training pipelines, deployment frameworks) in collaboration with global engineering teams.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to understand domain knowledge and translate requirements into AI-powered analytical solutions that address domain-specific challenges.
- Provide support to internal engineers and external customers by explaining data science methodologies, model behavior, and solution design.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and maintainability, including monitoring and troubleshooting of AI-driven applications.
- Travel to customer cleanrooms for system deployment, integration, and on-site troubleshooting support.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science or related data science major.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in backend development, data engineering, statistical modeling, feature extraction and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Python (data processing, backend, or ML-related development)
- Experience in data analysis, preprocessing, and visualization (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Plotly)
- Experience in full-stack or backend development (e.g., React / Angular / Vue + Node.js)
- Solid experience in SQL and data processing, including data modeling and transformation
- Practical experience in machine learning implementation (not limited to research, but including real-world deployment or integration)
- Experience in building or maintaining AI/ML environments (e.g., model deployment, training pipelines)
- Experience with data visualization tools or dashboards (e.g., Grafana)
- Experience in image processing, semi-supervised learning, and/or predictive systems is a plus.
- Experience in MLOps or AI system deployment (e.g., MLflow, model versioning, monitoring)
- Knowledge of software development skills and processes (design patterns, unit test, CI/CD, docker).
- Ability to understand domain-specific requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Eager to continuously learn and adapt to changing technologies and tools.
- Self-driven, with the ability to prioritize tasks and drive execution independently.
- Familiarity with the Agile methodology and tools like Azure DepOps, Github, etc.
- Good written and basic verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience of the semiconductor industry is a plus.
