ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Summary:

Working Location: Ho Chi Minh

Reporting to Country Manager

  • Lead Field Force Excellence
    Lead the Southern field force end-to-end, from business strategy development through to flawless execution, ensuring maximum impact and sustainable growth for the ARDx business.
  • Build High-Performing Teams
    Strengthen DSMs and team capabilities across core areas, including consultative selling, business management, key account management, and sub-distributor management, to drive superior commercial performance.
  • Drive Execution & Daily Operations
    Oversee day-to-day field operations with a sharp focus on maximizing key account potential, strengthening competitive positioning, and consistently winning in priority segments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Supply Chain, Training, etc.) to successfully deploy key campaigns, enhance team capabilities, expand market access, and grow market share across all targeted territories.
  • Market Expertise & Network Leadership. Bring at least 5 years of IVD industry experience (across Sales/DSM and Marketing roles), with strong, established networks among key opinion leaders (KOLs) and key decision makers (KDMs) in clinical microbiology, infectious diseases, pulmonology, ENT, and major hospital systems.

2. Core Job Responsibilities:

Leading both strategic & all operational commercial activities in ARDx business in Southern area

Sales management

  • Manage sales team with the right coaching, highlighting leadership, ensuring delivery of revenue target, forecast accuracy.
  • Develop/Shape/Customize/Implement/drive the local country commercial / marketing strategy to be aligned with Abbott Local Commercial/ Marketing Strategy in the Southern Area.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and business development of the southern business and future APAC, by providing extensive market intelligence relevant to maximizing ARDx product portfolio market opportunities in Southern area Vietnam
  • Track business results vs projected budget and outcomes objectives.
  • Identify customer issues and resolve them related difficulties.
  • Timely follow up and management of all leads that are distributed in territory

Strategic key account management:

  • Client relationship management: build and maintain strong ties with major private chains and top public hospitals.
  • Strategic growth: drive sales and revenue by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities within key accounts.
  • Negotiation: lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms.
  • Collaboration: coordinate with internal teams to meet client needs.
  • Performance reporting: track and report account performance to senior management.

Partner management

  • Develop and execute business plans to accelerate ARDx products and services with business partner
  • Support distribution partners including training, technical expertise and marketing support of the ARDx product portfolio.
  • Act as a resource for contract negotiation, pricing, proposal, bid preparation and all customers follow up.
  • Manage critical situation under transformation strategy.

Other tasks

  • Coordinate and facilitate market regulatory requirements & procedures.
  • Comply with Abbott Corporate Policies and Procedures. Ensure all business activities are conducted professionally, aligned with regulatory and industry guidelines and are conducted in a manner consistent with Abbott’s Code of Conduct guidelines, and Abbott’s Anti-Corruption Policy.

MINIMUM BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Working experience in healthcare industry with at least 7-10 years in manager level at Diagnostics companies
  • Experienced in working with distribution partners or local spot dealers
  • Proficient skills in MS Office
  • Aggressive, willing to travel and work under high pressure

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • University Degree in Biologists, Pharmacists and MD preferable
