POSITION PURPOSE:         

Provide nursing and ancillary departments with the necessary equipment and supplies to accommodate patient care needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Establish par levels per supply/demand basis and order supplies based on these par levels.
• Restocks carts and/or supply areas.
• Cleans carts and/or supply areas.
• Examines inventory for outdated supplies.
• Utilizes computerized system as needed to document patient charges and order inventory floor stock.
• Provides on call services to ensure departments have necessary supplies.
• Stamps inventoried items with charge stickers whenever necessary.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience with inventory control and knowledge of hospital supplies preferred.
• Previous health care experience in a medical center setting is preferred.

Compensation Range

$16.00 - $24.00
