DXC Spain is looking for a SaasOps Engineer.

The team

DXC Assure digital Platform is being built and delivered to international customers following Agile methodologies and cloud technologies in a multidisciplinary, multi-language, and multi-cultural team.

DXC Assure Digital Platform is a digitally enabled, end-to-end SaaS offering that provides business services supporting the entire insurance industry. It is cloud native at is core, API enabled, configurable and highly automated.

The candidate will join DXC’s Software Build organization, which oversees all the innovation and R&D of DXC’s intellectual property for product offerings. This includes contribution to DXC’s Open Source and Publicly Available projects such as Halstack Design System (https://developer.dxc.com/design) and DXC Developer Central (https://developer.dxc.com) which are developed from Asturias.

DXC Assure Digital Platform is being built and delivered to international customers following Agile methodologies and cloud technologies in a multidisciplinary, multi-language, and multi-cultural team.

Education

  • Diploma in IT or equivalent with minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • High level of English.

The main tasks

  • Design and implementation of solutions and services that contribute efficiently to the overall reliability, performance, and scalability of the Assure Digital Platform. A sample list of components to consider includes:
    • Monitoring and Observability: to track the performance and health of the business services running on Assure environments.
    • Disaster recovery plans to ensure that the Assure Products can quickly recover from catastrophic events, always determining the best solution to meet different recovery goals.
    • Security and Compliance: to work closely with security teams to implement best practices for securing the Assure Products. This involves managing access control, implementing security protocols, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and others.
    • Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization: Analyzing different Assure Product needs in terms of application performance metrics and planning for adequate capacity to handle traffic spikes and growth. Implementation of auto-scaling and load balancing techniques.
  • Collaboration with development teams to design robust and scalable systems architecture that can efficiently run on AWS, ensuring that the best practices for fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery are applied.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and product managers, to align on priorities and effectively communicate system changes, updates, and potential risks to stakeholders.
  • Enable automation for he provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure components using tools like CSAM (in-house tooling), Terraform, and other devops tools like: Jenkins, GitHub, artifactory and similar.
  • Develop cloud-native applications and services to support the implemented applications and processes (e.g. SPA using JavaScript frameworks such as React and cloud backend services using languages such as NodeJS, Go and Shell scripting). A Key system is the Saas Control Plane, which allows to manage and oversee the multitenant Assure Landscape through centralized tooling and dashboards.
  • Continuously identify areas for improvement in the deployment process, monitoring, and overall system performance.
  • Investigation, research and development of new cloud technologies, platforms, and languages to be added to the DXC Assure Digital Platform roadmap.
