We are currently looking for Payroll Analyst interns to join us in Pune. You will work closely with a senior mentor to gain technical knowledge and experience in your field, and cooperate with a broader international team both locally and globally.
In this role you will report to the Senior Payroll Manager for Asia - Pacific (APAC) and work closely with a senior mentor to ensure that payroll is processed for assigned APAC countries, and assist with other APAC payroll requests to ensure accurate and timely pay for all associates. You will also be assisting with audits of internal records, master data changes, and other related special requests. As a Payroll Intern, you will maintain thorough documentation of payroll processes and procedures and support team members to ensure payroll tasks and responsibilities are met in an accurate and timely manner.
What will you do
Supporting the on-cycle and off-cycle payroll processing related activities, including validation of payroll and reports prior to approval/sign-off
Supporting the post-payroll activities, including distribution of 3rd party vendor, bank, and GL files to the applicable platform and/or team
Validate integration and other source files, including verification of data imported to ADP from Workday by reviewing the Global Workday Reconciliation Report
Prepare and/or monitor receipt of automated payroll submittal files and ensure accurate processing of variable and ad-hoc payment request such as bonuses, commissions, stock transactions, and compliance related terminations
Responsible for processing of agency notices, resolving vendor exceptions, and ensuring actions are performed timely and accurately
Maintain standard process documents, recommend process improvements and participate in the implementation
Provide reports and requested data to management and other workstreams as needed, including internal and external audit requests
Resolve customer queries/issues timely and in accordance with internal SLAs, while also providing an excellent customer service experience
Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
Support quarter-end and/or year-end processing activities, including year-end audits and accounting requests as applicable
Execute all processes in accordance with established business controls and SOX requirements
Assist with special initiatives and projects as needed, including system/process changes, testing, and assisting with global payrolls

knowledge of local payroll laws to ensure compliance/regulatory requirements are met
Ability to work independently in an organized manner with the capability to manage time effectively to meet strict deadlines, at times handling multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining proper prioritization
Ability to effectively establish and maintain communication with both internal and external stakeholders
Advanced with Microsoft Office Excel (vlookup, formulas, pivots) and other Microsoft Office applications
Ability to easily learn new applications, interpret and analyze payroll data, while being innovative and adapt to change
Passion, curiosity, and desire to create new things and examine how things work internally
Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality inherent to payroll matters
The following are considered a plus
Studying in Human Resource, Accounting, Business, or related field
Knowledge of Workday, ADP GlobalView or SAP
Multilingual Exposure to internal accounting controls Knowledge of regional or international payrolls
Payroll certification
