As the Director for Unsecured Lending, Account Management and Pricing, you will responsible for the management of strategies that drive experiences for our retail unsecured lending customers. You will deliver simple, pre approved offers for Credit Limit increases, manage life cycle pricing across all BMO channels for Unsecured Products and manage day to day service experiences for customers. All with a goal of delivering best in class experiences for our customers, with programs that deliver on customer needs.  The incumbent will report to the Vice President - Head of Unsecured Lending.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Owns Credit Limit, Pricing and existing customer experiences for Unsecured Lending
  • Understands and manages Credit Risk as a critical aspect of Unsecured Lending, and acts as a trusted advisor to senior leaders for making business decisions and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • End to end ownership of Pricing, Line Management and other account management strategies for Unsecured Lending working with cross functional teams from across the bank to bring initiatives and campaigns to life
  • Make strategy and new initiative recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of Credit Risk, Pricing Strategy & Customer Engagement
  • Fosters strong internal and external networks and works with and across multiple teams to achieve business objectives
  • Identifies emerging economic and consumer trends to inform decision-making.
  • Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements, and develops roadmap for strategic execution.
  • Develops sales strategy, growth metrics, and plans to achieve sales objectives.
  • Leads a team of 4 to drive business objectives

Product Management & Development:

  • Develops and drives an end to end culture. Looking for opportunities across the lifecycle of pricing, limit and other account Management Strategies
  • Manages resources and leads the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals.
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops business cases by identifying needs, analyzing potential options, and assessing expected returns on investment.
  • Oversees the development of business analytics and insights (e.g. portfolio profitability tracking, customer analytics, revenue forecasts, operations metrics, trend analytics, and predictive modelling).
  • Understands and oversees end-to-end customer experience that may include interactions with clients and sales.
  • Develops and implements action plans that meet financial and growth metrics.
  • Develops an expert understanding of business/group challenges.

Governance and Risk Management:

  • Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
  • Manages risk associated with portfolio of products, including setting risk parameters and tolerance for credit losses.
  • Work closely with partners to manage Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, Collections and more.
  • Lead compliance activities specific to portfolio, understanding the external regulatory and legal environment and mitigating risks to an acceptable level.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ years of Product Management or Strategy Development experience
  • Experience working in highly data and model driven environments
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership and crafting stories to articulate business issues succinctly
  • MBA, B.Eng or equivalent work experience required
  • Credit Risk experience is an asset
  • Experience in large program delivery is an asset
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment to deliver campaigns marketed to customers

Salary:

$103,500.00 - $192,500.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
