Position Summary 

 

Regional Field Operations & Training Specialist is responsible for supporting sales, installation, and service operations. This role ensures technicians are professionally trained and compliant with regulatory standards, manages equipment float and vendor relationships, and drives operational excellence across the region. By delivering firsthand training, optimizing repair workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Specialist plays a key role in improving service quality, technician performance, and overall business efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Sales & Installation Support

  • Provide real-time support to dealerships for troubleshooting, installation, and repairs.
  • Ensure proper inventory management.
  • Maintain and update sales application guidelines for Sales Representatives.
  • Develop training plans for new and used equipment and document processes and procedures.

 

Service Training & Technician Development

  • Ensure compliance with state regulatory guidelines for technicians.
  • Identify skill gaps by technician level and develop targeted training programs.
  • Facilitate onboarding and ongoing technical education for Service Technicians.
  • Conduct classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training sessions.
  • Collaborate with HR to maintain technician training records and certifications.

 

 

Float Management

  • Design layout, workflow, and equipment processes to support efficient repair operations.
  • Explore centralized solutions for complex equipment repairs.
  • Implement practices to reduce turnaround time and improve productivity.
  • Function as liaison between Service Technicians, Operations leaders, and Culligan International.

 

Vendor Management

  • Identify and evaluate vendors for installation and service materials.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service levels.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues.

 

Operational Support

  • Promote a customer-first culture and communicate performance expectations.
  • Monitor dealership performance against goals, Customer Service Levels and support corrective actions and action plans.
  • Provide feedback from field operations to leadership teams.
  • Assist with new hire training, service zone development, and field operations programs.
  • Support dealerships with PE/DI plant issues, re-routes, and operational benchmarks.

 

Workplace Safety & Culture

  • Foster open communication and a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure dealerships maintain safe fleets and compliant work environments.
  • Recognize achievements, resolve barriers, and encourage innovation.

 

Business Health & Strategic Support

  • Safeguard company assets and support employee development.
  • Align goals with strategic direction and identify opportunities for performance improvement.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in operations, technical training, or field service support.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and vendor management.
  • Must be located within a commutable distance from one of the Western Dealerships (Phoenix, Boise, Bozeman, Billings, Butte,Tuscon, or Twin Falls) 
  • Travel up to 75% of the time and provide remote support as needed.
