Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
As the primary contact for incoming calls, greets all callers with professionalism and customer service skills.
Uses the computerized scheduling system EPIC to schedule new and return patient appointments as well as associated ancillaries. Obtain and enter into EPIC all demographic, referral, and insurance information completely and accurately.
Obtains, scans, and maintains current patient records and EMR. Facilitates medical records requests. Utilizes OnBase system for scanning/faxes.
Assists with Epic in basket and work queue needs.
Distributes mail, faxes, and correspondence timely and efficiently.
Communicates with physicians and clinical staff to assist with scheduling urgent or referred patient scheduling calls/requests.
Provides patient scheduling services to include collecting demographics and insurance registration. Reviews schedule for new patients, updating when necessary.
Works Relatient patient reminder system results and contacts patients or makes scheduling changes.
Process internal physician referrals for clinical care.
Other duties as assigned.
