Participants rotate through three eight month assignments, including mandatory placements in Field/Construction and Project Scheduling, along with a third rotation in areas such as Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Contract Management, Finance, Quality, Project Controls, Logistics, Lean, or Project Management. This is a full time, on site program that provides hands on experience, daily collaboration with teams, and exposure to real customer projects, offering an excellent foundation for a long-term career within GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions business.
Job Description
The Project Management Experience Program (PMEP) is GE Vernova’s premiere development pathway for emerging project professionals seeking to fast‑track their career in EPC and project delivery. This full‑time, two‑year program equips participants with practical technical skills, real‑world field exposure, and the leadership capabilities required to manage complex energy projects across the Grid Solutions business.
Participants complete three rotational assignments, each eight months long. Two core rotations—Field/Construction and Project Scheduling—provide hands‑on experience essential to EPC environments. A third rotation is chosen from key disciplines such as Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Contract Management, Finance, Quality, Project Controls, Logistics, Lean, or Project Management.
Graduates of the PMEP move into impactful project management roles, prepared to support customer delivery and contribute to the global energy transition.
The program commences in June 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Delivery
- Support project managers in planning, executing, and controlling EPC projects across multiple regions.
- Participate in field and construction activities, gaining hands‑on understanding of site operations, safety practices, and commissioning workflows.
- Take part in project scheduling activities—building, maintaining, and learning to analyze project schedules.
Commercial, Financial & Contractual Exposure
- Assist with project financials, including billing, forecasting, cost tracking, and cash management.
- Help review contractual obligations, support change management processes, and contribute to risk assessments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Engineering, Project Controls, Commercial, Quality, Sourcing, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Support customer communication and documentation across your rotations.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to Lean and process improvement initiatives.
- Lead smaller assignments and support major project milestones.
- Build professional and leadership skills through training, mentorship, and hands‑on experience.
Essential Requirements
- Foundational experience in areas such as engineering, project management, operations, construction, commercial roles, supply chain, or similar fields.
- Interest in fieldwork and hands‑on construction or commissioning environments.
- Ability and willingness to work in the office and on-site regularly, depending on rotation needs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Motivation to learn, adapt, and work across different teams and disciplines.
Nice-to-Have:
- Exposure to energy, utilities, industrial, construction, or EPC projects.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera), ERP systems, or project management tools.
- Experience with customer-facing work or cross-functional collaboration.
- Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, APM PMQ, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent.
