Job Title
Manager Corporate ApplicationsIn this role you will manage a team responsible for applications integrations, automation, AI enablement, digital workflows, iPaaS coordination, and AI-driven initiatives, while ensuring solutions are safe, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards. The Applications Manager manages key aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, backlog prioritization, as well as Agile delivery, run, change, and innovation. You will act as the primary delivery partner for business stakeholders, and manage expectations, risks, and apply change management and governance principles to drive application adoption and long-term value.Roles & Responsibilities:
Integrations, Automation & AI Enablement -
• Oversee enterprise integrations and digital workflows, including iPaaS coordination, APIs, and AI-enabled automation.
• Closely coordinate with the team responsible for the iPaaS platform (Boomi), ensuring effective integration design, delivery alignment, and operational outcomes, without direct platform ownership.
• Collaborate with architects and leadership on integration and architectural decisions.
• Enable and support AI-driven initiatives, including citizen development and low code/no-code approaches, ensuring solutions are safe, scalable, and aligned, with enterprise standards. Participate in the definition of guardrails for citizen development.
• Manage run, change, and innovation work, ensuring space for experimentation and development, without compromising operational stability.
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Leadership -
• Manage key stages of the SDLC, with particular emphasis on requirements definition, backlog shaping, prioritization, and sprint execution.
• Partner with business stakeholders to clarify true needs versus stated wants, identify tradeoffs, and sequence work to maximize value, while limiting work in progress.
• Ensure delivery teams operate with clarity, focus, and sustainable pace, enabling speed without burnout.
• Lead sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives, in an Agile environment that adapts to what works best for the team.
Stakeholder & Customer Partnership -
• Serve as the point of contact and partner for stakeholders with complex needs and high expectations.
• Navigate a wide range of stakeholder dynamics with empathy, sound judgment, and clear, respectful communication.
• Set and maintain realistic expectations, including the ability to appropriately defer work while offering alternative paths to achieve desired business outcomes.
Leadership -
• Lead and develop a team of systems analysts, integration specialists, and delivery professionals, including contractors and vendor partners.
• Actively manage priorities to preserve team focus and ensure team’s deliverables.
• Coach individuals to improve prioritization and skills.
• Foster a psychologically safe environment where focus, accountability, and continuous improvement are the norm.
• Apply strong Organizational Change Management (OCM) practices to ensure programs adoption and long-term value realization.
• Apply traditional IT change management practices, ensuring system changes are planned, communicated, approved, and deployed in a controlled manner that protects stability and business continuity.
Job Requirements:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience:
• At least 5 years overseeing large- scale IT systems and leading IT application teams (or integration delivery teams, preferred).
• At least 5 years of people leadership.
Functional / Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Solid understanding of digital transformation and IT solution implementation within complex global manufacturing environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery practices, backlog management, and sprint-based execution.
• Enterprise integrations, APIs, automation, and emerging AI-enabled solutions.
• Outstanding leadership abilities with a documented history of managing and developing high-performing technology professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to balance delivery speed, quality, and team sustainability.
