Summary

The Analyst, Retail Strategy will be working as part of a team that oversees pricing, promotion, and product lifecycle strategies for the digital and physical transactional business to drive revenue for Content Sales.  Support will cover Film, TV, New Release, Catalog, US and Canada, and works with retail partners Apple, Prime Video, Vudu/Fandango, and more. This position will work cross functionally and will focus on creating efficiency, process improvement, and enabling sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Support team with implementation of everyday and promotional digital pricing. 

  • Monitor digital retail partner store fronts for pricing and product compliance.

  • Work with Sales to action corrections with retailers. 

  • Assist with execution of physical product rationalization/migration, including material creation, metadata gathering, collaborating with Creative Production to gather creative assets for rework, and collaborating with distributor on assigning street dates/pricing.

  • Manage Sales Communications (weekly emails, SharePoint management, Slack/Team updates) for team.

  • Assist with deck creation for monthly priorities meeting recapping performance, retail execution, competitive activity, and upcoming priorities to Senior Management, Sales, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain master schedules and calendars (release calendar, promotional calendars, reprice schedules, etc.).

  • Manage ad hoc requests from Sales.

  • Review and audit monthly distributor royalty statements based on deal terms.

  • Collaborate with Discovery Licensing team and Rights team to prioritize new title setup requests in IPM.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year professional experience in retail/consumer marketing or sales analysis in the entertainment and/or consumer goods industry preferred; recent college graduates with relevant and meaningful internship experience will be considered

  • Experienced in developing/refining workflow processes and excels at managing multiple simultaneous projects. 

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Must have proficient computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required. Familiarity with Tableau a plus.

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel.

  • Must have strong attention to detail.

  • Must have the ability to work well under time constraints and multi-task.

  • Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Must have ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Strong organizational skills required to effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Ability to proactively identify and pursue opportunities for business process improvement.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $54,600.00 - $101,400.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
