About you and this role

Dow is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to support our Arab, AL site. In this role, you will help manage MRO inventory processes, maintain accurate inventory records, support material availability, and collaborate with business and supply chain partners to help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the business in articulating the business inventory and MRO supply strategy.
  • Support Material Master Management, Expandable Consumable Material Management Process (ECMMP), Slow Moving and Obsolete Part Management and Investment Recovery.
  • Serve as the focal point responsible for the Generation of Code requests for inventoried and non -inventoried MRO material.
  • Execute Order Recommendation process. Analyze, establish and manage MRO inventory levels. Maintain MRO inventory records and parameters. Perform technical identification of new and/or existing MRO materials. Participate in standardization of MRO materials.
  • Document Critical Spare Part Definition and parameters for a critical spare parts.
  • Handle reservations and backorders for all inventory items. Set up new items for inventory and execute MRO inventory replenishments.
  • Analyze surplus/obsolete materials or equipment and initiates investment recovery process.
  • Monitor supplier performances regarding timelines and completeness of deliveries.
  • Participate in systems support functions including changes to programs, functionality and testing. Utilize SAP.
  • Act as problem solver for technical aspects on MRO materials.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years in an inventory coordinator or MRO position required.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree
  • Experience using SAP
  • Forklift certification

Physical Requirements

Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground.  
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time.  
  • Lift a maximum of 50 lbs.

Skills

  • MRO Inventory Management: Experience analyzing, maintaining, and optimizing Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) inventory levels, including replenishment, critical spares, and obsolete inventory management.

  • SAP Systems Proficiency: Skilled in SAP for inventory management, material master data maintenance, order recommendations, reporting, and system support activities.

  • Material Master Data Management: Knowledge of material coding, material master creation and maintenance, technical material identification, and inventory standardization processes.

  • Supply Chain & Inventory Analysis: Ability to analyze inventory trends, establish stocking parameters, manage backorders, monitor supplier performance, and support inventory optimization initiatives.

  • Problem Solving & Technical Material Expertise: Ability to troubleshoot material-related issues, identify appropriate MRO materials, support critical spare parts programs, and resolve inventory challenges.
