JR62729 Site Security Lead

The Security Lead is responsible for managing the physical security operations at the site level. This role is posted at Tainan site, reports to Taiwan Security Manager and required to co-work with peer site security leads for projects.  His/her daily work involves strategic oversight of the security team, ensuring the effective implementation of security measures, and maintaining high standards of security practices to protect against threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and refine security operations strategies in alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the security team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with senior management to assess and address security needs and concerns.
  • Team Oversight:
    • Supervise Physical Security Specialists, contracted staff and other security personnel.
    • Coordinate training programs and professional development opportunities for the security team.
    • Manage performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee the scheduling, deployment, and management of security staff across the site.
    • Ensure the proper functioning of security systems and equipment.
    • Lead the response to security incidents and coordinate post-incident analysis.
  • Risk and Compliance:
    • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory compliance regarding security operations.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in security methodologies.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters within the site.
    • Liaise with external agencies, including law enforcement and emergency services.
    • Report to and advise senior management on security status, challenges, and achievements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Professional security certifications such as ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), or Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP).
  • In-depth knowledge of physical security systems and risk management principles.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in security-related technology and applications

Working Conditions:

  • Availability to work outside of standard office hours, including on-call for emergencies.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions swiftly.
