Job Description and Responsibilities

Join EVRAZ North America's Regina Finance team as a Credit & Collections Manager and be at the forefront of managing financial health and fostering business growth. In this key role, you will oversee credit risk management and collections operations to optimize cash flow and mitigate financial risks.

  • Develop and maintain strong proactive relationships with sales departments and customers
  • Select, manage, mentor, coach and develop assigned staff in support of company mission and goals
  • Development and adherence to credit/collecting policies and procedures
  • Responsible for all collections in North America
  • Analyzes credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit
  • Provides monthly, recap and authorized ad hoc reports to Treasurer, CFO or Senior Management
  • Monitors Credit Analyst’s reviews of commercial customer files to identify and select delinquent accounts for collection, monitor and report bankruptcies
  • Consults with and communicate with customers to resolve complaints and verify financial and credit transactions when necessary
  • Manages external collection agencies and legal proceedings such as lien filings, lawsuits, bankruptcy, and other actions on behalf of company
  • Maintains proper communication with the company management at the mills and corporate team.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Treasurer and CFO

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field; MBA a plus
  • CCM preferred, CPA, CMA, CFA a plus
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in credit and collections
  • Experience with Oracle financial systems preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other PC applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and be highly organized
  • Professional demeanor, ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and excellent customer service
  • Able to travel when required
