Job Purpose:
Responsible for leading and managing staff responsible for organizational projects and initiatives to include: project management, strategic planning, quality assurance (QA), quality management system (QMS), lean continual improvement, and reporting.
Logistics:
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday and will be preferred as onsite at One Century Plaza in Nashville, TN, with highly qualified remote candidates to be considered.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversees staff responsible for project management, strategic planning, lean continuous improvement program, and reporting activities for the organization.
- Provides oversight and direction to project managers and project teams, including the development of project plans, risk management plans and project documentation.
- Oversees the execution of various project and initiative plans, including monitoring and control of resources, delivery timelines, and budgeted costs.
- Partners with senior leadership to deploy and implement annual strategic planning activities across the organization and on schedule.
- Oversees multiple quality improvement teams/functions, including the staff responsible for the Quality Assurance (QA) program which provides accurate and timely data in assessing operations performance.
- Maintains the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) to meet accreditation standards and drive continuous operational efficiencies.
- Utilizes quality trends and results to initiate improvement opportunities.
- Assists with external organizations conducting audits.
- Assists in development of quality assurance plans for new business contracts and proposals.
- Partners with internal customers to define business goals, recommend effective strategies and services, and execute on the activities required to successfully meet those goals.
- Identify items that impact the scope, budget, risk and resources of various work efforts to assess the impact of project plans and resources on operational processes.
- Research best practices, gather and analyze data both proactively and as requested to facilitate improvement outcomes.
- Utilizes expertise and knowledge to identify/recommend appropriate improvement solutions and drive best practice sharing across the organization.
- Directs and monitors budget activities.
To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:
Required Education:
- A Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of job-related work experience (Equivalency not applicable for the Celerian Group. Bachelor's degree is required).
Required Work Experience:
- 7 years of experience in operations management, project management, strategic planning, business process engineering, or quality improvement, including 4 years of demonstrated experience leading project and other quality teams from inception through implementation phases.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of business process engineering methodology.
- Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent and effective communication, customer service and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information with understanding to a variety of audiences who have different levels of experience and knowledge.
- Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools.
- Demonstrated aptitude for effective leadership of staff.
- Ability to recognize problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent and offer solutions.
Required Software and Tools:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
We Prefer You to Have:
- Experience in Medicare, healthcare, or insurance industry.
- Experience in leading an organization's strategic planning process.
- Experience driving business transformation through quality assurance and/or lean continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Project management and/or quality certification.
