The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer with experience in testing large data sets and working within the Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our data processing pipelines, data storage solutions, and cloud-based services. You will work closely with our data engineering, software development, and DevOps teams to develop and execute test plans that ensure data accuracy, system performance, and security.


Responsibilities:

  • Create comprehensive test plans for data processing pipelines, data storage solutions, and cloud-based services.
  • Validate the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of large data sets processed within Azure environments.
  • Design and implement automated tests for data validation, data transformation, and data quality assurance.
  • Conduct performance testing to ensure data processing pipelines and storage solutions can handle large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Ensure that data stored and processed in Azure adheres to security and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with data engineers, software developers, and DevOps teams to ensure that testing strategies align with project goals and requirements.
  • Utilize Azure services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure DevOps to manage and test data-related projects.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to data quality, system performance, and cloud infrastructure.


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in testing large data sets and data processing pipelines.
  • Strong experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
  • Experience in performance testing tools and techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and data querying
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their implementation in Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.


Desired:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Big Data tools and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and experience in data-driven projects in industries such as finance, healthcare, or retail.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$66,100 - $135,600
