ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •

Ensure the security screening locations are set up and prepared for the event, handheld wands, metal detectors, bike rack, barricades, bag size signage, bag search tables, etc. • Check all restricted access points and ensure Guardian staff are aware of the permitted credentials • Collaborate with 3rd party security supervisor on exterior security and assist with resolving any issues with prohibited items, large non-clear bags, car seats, strollers, cameras, iPads, laptops, off-duty officers with firearms, etc. • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws • Complete and collect any incident reports from Brookshire Grocery Arena supervisors and turn them in to Control. • Responds to emergency situations during events: slip and falls, missing children/family members, etc. • Collect any items turned into Lost & Found and place them in Security Command. • Ensures all security screening equipment is returned to its storage place at the end of the night. • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS •

Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative. • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results. • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, guests, and others encountered in the course of employment. • Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations and emergency procedures established at the facility. • Demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures related to facility security • Meet the physical demands of the job. Must perform strenuous physical duties at times, including lifting, carrying, moving, and climbing. • Follow oral and written instructions. • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States. • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE High School diploma or GED, and one year experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Ability to read words and numbers in printed form and on a computer • Ability to speak clearly with proper diction • Walk/stand for extended periods during a shift • Climb stairs and lift up to 75 lbs. of equipment • Hearing sufficient to clearly hear voices, alarms, bells, and horns • Ability to travel by automobile • Ability to use standard office equipment

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS •

Majority of work is indoors, outdoor work will be required at times • At times may require being outside during adverse weather • May be exposed to a high noise level, strobes and flashing lights for extended periods of time, related to event type

HOURS OF WORK AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS •

This position may require extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
