What We'll Bring:

The incumbent to this senior level position will assist our Global Solutions business units to review and determine whether solutions may be sold in different markets and create and implement processes and procedures to ensure TransUnion complies with applicable laws and regulations, as well as contractual obligations. Incumbent will work in a multi-disciplinary team and has broad knowledge of business and risk management. Incumbent will review and assess the compliance of internal and external stakeholders to policies and other requirements. The incumbent will project manage the implementation process on compliance related projects, which may include testing to ensure solutions work as intended and addresses compliance issues that affect TU’s global solutions.

What You'll Bring:

  • Review solutions for compliance in multiple markets by integrating internal policies with relevant external advice.
  • Create and/or update existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with requirements.  
  • Assist/consult with business units in defining, creating, documenting, and implementing compliance processes and procedures in their operational areas.
  • Responsible for keeping up to date on legislative changes and applying them to the business as necessary.

  • Perform assessments against Compliance Department policies and procedures and keep management informed of deviations.  
  • Gather data, analyze issues and make recommendations to ensure business unit compliance with existing policies and procedures.  Work with the legal team on ensuring legal recommendations are implemented to mitigate risk.
  • Develop tools to track requirements
  • Assist in the development of compliance-related training materials and deliver training to internal associates.
  • To assist and participate as a stakeholder and consultant in projects/initiatives where compliance expertise is required.
  • Support the Compliance Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Issue Management program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Impact You'll Make:

  • This position requires a College diploma or University degree in a business, legal studies or a related field (or equivalent combination of work and educational experience). 
  • At least 5 - 7 years of professional work experience functioning in a compliance or risk related function.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. 
  • English proficiency (verbal and written) is a requirement.
  • The incumbent must be a quick learner with a proven aptitude for retaining knowledge to apply unilaterally. 
  • International experience strongly preferred.
  • Incumbents should also possess above average presentation, communication and writing skills. 
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks where priorities shift and determine when to escalate issues.
  • The incumbent must be able to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization. 
  • Ability to work on projects independently and within project groups and to lead discussions. 
  • Ability to be proactive and to anticipate and identify risks before they materialize. 
  • Pre-existing knowledge of regulated environments, with an emphasis on consumer issues and privacy statutes.
  • Experience reviewing legislation, legal documents and contracts and monitoring and drafting processes or procedures. 
  • CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) certification would be an asset.
  • Some travel may be required.
