Job Description

Job Overview:

We're seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented Videographer cum Editor to join the content team at AirAsia MOVE. In this role, you’ll primarily focus on editing engaging, social-first video content, while also supporting with basic videography tasks during shoots. You’ll work closely with content leads, brand strategists, and designers to produce videos that reflect our bold, fast-moving brand personality—targeted at savvy, value-driven travellers across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing (Primary Focus)

  • Edit high-performing content for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other digital platforms.

  • Handle a range of formats including user-generated content, travel clips, product explainers, and short-form ads.

  • Add music, sound effects, text animations, subtitles, and motion transitions to elevate storytelling.

  • Ensure all videos adhere to brand tone, format specs, and quality standards.
    Organize raw footage, manage project timelines, and export deliverables efficiently.
     

 Basic Videography Support (Secondary)

  • Assist with video shoots by handling basic camera work, b-roll capture, and on-site support.

  • Set up and operate basic video, lighting, and sound equipment during internal shoots or events.

  • Ensure footage is captured according to shot list, framing guidelines, and brand aesthetic.
     

Content Management

  • Maintain and organize video asset libraries and file backups.

  • Coordinate with the design team and senior editors to receive assets, feedback, and revisions.

  • Stay up-to-date on content trends, editing styles, and platform formats to keep MOVE content relevant and fresh.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio of branded content and short-form social videos.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and relevant editing tools.

  • Strong understanding of pacing, audio sync, transitions, text animation, and social-first storytelling.
    Basic camera and lighting operation skills; comfortable supporting small-scale shoots.
    Excellent time management and multitasking abilities across multiple projects.

  • Experience managing creative teams or freelance talent.
     

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in motion graphics, sound design, or directing live shoots.

  • Familiarity with the travel or lifestyle category, especially youth-targeted content.
