This Position reports to:

Sales Specialist


 

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Motion business based at Jaipur, India:

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.
  • Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.
  • Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems; and ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.

 

Qualifications for the role

  • Bid Management & Compliance: Ensure adherence to bid process compliance and deliver high-quality bid documentation within defined timelines. 
  • Proficient in reviewing Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), interpreting technical specifications, and understanding system architectures to ensure competitive proposals.
  • Technical Solutioning & Support: Develop optimal technical solutions tailored to customer needs, and support the customer with cost-effective, technically appropriate proposals. 
  • Ensure timely communication with the customer and carry out regular followups to maintain smooth progress and clarity on all project-related matters
  • Knowledgeable in a wide range of industrial communication protocols, including Modbus, OPC, FTP, IEC 61850, IEC 104, and DNP3.
  • Knowledge of Renewable Energy automation solutions is added advantage 
  • Hand-on Experience PLC / DCS Products PLC/RTU/DCS, SCADA/HMI, SQL, Cloud Computing , Industrial Protocols, Networking and Cyber Security  Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree (BE/B.Tech) in Electronics, Electrical , Control or Instrumentation. 
  • Minimum of 2-4+ years in bidding/tendering for automation projects (DCS, PLC, RTU SCADA/HMI)
  • Strong communication skills
