We’re Motor. We work with individuals, dealerships, and utilities to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and a cleaner energy future.  

Our flagship product is EV Navigator, a white glove service that guides consumers through the switch from an internal combustion engine vehicle to an electric one.   

Job Description 

As the Senior Market Manager you will be the leader and public face of Motor in our New York/New Jersey marketThis role requires the ability to toggle between business development, stakeholder management, and customer serviceThis includes working closely with car dealerships, end user customers, community leaders, and the local utility.   

You will be supported by a small but mighty team, with offices in Indianapolis, Vermont, Colorado, and Virginia. 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the NY/NJ location of Motor, including local growth initiatives, account management, customer service, and PR 
  • Recruit car dealerships to partner with MotorThis will be your first and most important priority.  
  • Manage important local relationships, including dealerships, electricians and community organizations 
  • Be accountable for Motor hitting growth goals in market 
  • Build brand awareness for Motor through partnerships, events, and by working with Motor’s marketing team to develop market-specific marketing approaches 
  • Become a personable resource for members and partners on electric vehicles and consumer charging technologies, including a strong grasp of market data and regular reporting to key stakeholders   

  

Qualifications 

  

  • Three years relevant work experience with electric vehicles, automotive, shared mobility services, or related field 

  • Previous work with car dealerships in the New York City / Westchester County area strongly preferred 

  • Previous experience in a marketing, business development, or growth related role 

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a startup, or startup-like, environment  

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher  

  • Valid driver license and two years of driving experience with a clean driving record   

  • Strong presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $101,000 and $125,800/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
