About the role:

Are you a talented Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a passion for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of cloud-based applications? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects. As an SRE at Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Scripting Expertise: Proficiency in scripting languages, with a strong preference for Python, to automate processes and maintain infrastructure.

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery and updates.

  • Version Control: Utilize and maintain GitHub Actions and code scanning tools to facilitate collaborative development practices and enhance code quality.

  • DevSecOps Integration: Collaborate with development teams to implement and enhance DevSecOps practices, integrating security measures into the software development lifecycle.

  • Application Security Testing: Perform and oversee application security testing using tools such as Checkmarx, and Mend to identify vulnerabilities and ensure application security.

  • Cloud Experience: Demonstrate AWS experience and the ability to adapt quickly to Azure, ensuring seamless cloud infrastructure management.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate infrastructure builds, preferably using Terraform, to ensure scalable and maintainable cloud resources.

  • Container Orchestration: Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration is a plus.

  • Monitoring & Observability: Implement and manage monitoring solutions, such as ELK stack, to provide insights into system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.

  • Strong scripting skills, Python desired.

  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and code scanning tools.

  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and application security testing.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (Azure is a plus).

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.

  • Knowledge of container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes, is a plus.

  • Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools like ELK.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
