Position Summary
Provides nutritional care of individuals in health or disease, which includes the application of the science and art of human nutrition in selecting and obtaining food.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Obtains and evaluates nutrition histories of the dialysis patients.
May require contacting families for planning nutrition aspects of care.
Design diets for dialysis patients considering nutritional principles, needs and like and dislikes of patients
Completes initial and annual nutritional patient assessments for dialysis patients.
Completes plan of care in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team according to dialysis center's condition of coverage.
Evaluates patient's laboratory studies and makes recommendations for patient's treatment plan. Reviews laboratory studies with patients on a monthly basis.
Prepares medication orders as they relate to the patient's nutritional status.
Counsels/educates patients and families to meet requirements for continued nutritional care.
Performs other duties as required or as workload changes.

Bachelor's degree - Dietetics
Certifications:

Salary Range
$27.00 - $41.87 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
