Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be involved in the development and maintenance of data infrastructure and solutions. You will collaborate with a team of data engineers to design and implement data pipelines, perform data analysis, and ensure data quality. Your strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail will contribute to the effective management and utilization of data for insights and decision-making.

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of software development and business analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or the Life Sciences
  • Expertise in translating business requirements to technical requirements and recommend solutions!
  • Data analysis and reporting experience by using analytics, visualization and database technologies (Oracle, PL SQL, Spotfire, Tableau, Python)
  • Experience working with container technologies (e.g., Docker) and developing microservices
  • Experience in Software Engineering with a consistent record of specification, design and development.
  • Experience using one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, C, C++, Python, Go, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Experienced in REST API development and/or consumption.
  • Solid grasp in relational databases with a proficiency in SQL. Experience in designing and supporting web applications including familiarity with web technologies and frameworks (Ext JS, D3.js, React)
  • Demonstrable experience working with agile methodology & DevOps frameworks (Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub) with successful experience working in a distributed and collaborative team environment
  • Experience in solving problems and debugging applications.
  • Possesses strong learning agility and technical know-how - ability to breakdown complex topics issues and into measurable plans for team execution
  • Drive high quality technical designs and solutions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility and ability to learn on the job

The base salary for this position in Canada is $74,000- $95,000 CAD.
