Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Can use Aerospace & Defense industry knowledge and technical expertise to decipher clients’ needs in Engineering Solutions for Aerospace & Defense
  • Educate Clients and articulate DXC Engineering capabilities within the industry of relevance and success stories to effectively communicate DXC’s value prop to both partners and customers
    • DXC Engineering capabilities such as–
      • Custom Application development and Modernization
      • Legacy Apps modernization
      • Application Managed Services
      • Data and Analytics – DaaS (Data as a service)
      • Testing As a Service & Test Automation
      • Industry 4.0 (Digital twins, Additive Aerospace & Defense, AR/VR, Smart factory (MES, PLM, IoT), Big Data & Analytics, Cloud Computing, System integration.
  • Will achieve new and existing business sales targets by maximizing sales effectiveness and driving sales performance
  • The Business Development Leader of Aerospace & Defense Americas will lead the sales and Industry SME teams, ensuring effective sales strategies are in place to achieve revenue and profitability objectives for the company
  • Lead complex selling efforts that identify, qualify, cultivate, and close new business
  • Create and help frame DXC Engineering differentiated value story, develop strategic win themes for proposals
  • Drive joint opportunities and source partner pipeline
  • Operate within large teams and directs specific team sales origination activities
  • Create strategic and tactical plans to grow a book of business and assist in closing opportunities
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with your clients’ senior leaders to help DXC become the go-to partner in bringing their long-term vision to life
  • Interact with Senior Management levels at clients and within DXC
  • Foster relationships, both with clients and internally with account teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer, pipeline and forecast data working with Sales Operations

Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Degree a plus
    • Core management consulting skills including:
      • Executive & Digital Leadership Workshop facilitation
      • Client interviews / focus groups
  • Run end-to-end digital sales cycles (origination -> solution -> close)
  • Prior experience inside a complex matrixed organization model is a plus
  • Experience working with & jointly going to market with strategic vendors 
  • Design Client business cases
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $114,200 - $212,000.
