Job Summary

Summary
Provides support for key initiatives involving different teams across the hospital related to quality and clinical compliance at the direction of site Office of the Chief Medical Officer leadership. The role will help ensure smooth operations and contribute to the hospital's commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role will support the execution of long and short-term goals for the MGB quality and clinical compliance programs. Responsible for the execution of the clinical compliance programs for the hospital and is responsible for a variety of functions within the Quality Department, including database management, data collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as providing support to the department in achieving departmental and organizational quality goals.

Essential Functions
-Completes compliance activities, ensuring adherence to standardized processes around tracer activity, site-level preparedness activities, and measuring/monitoring compliance.
-Supports the Quality and Clinical Compliance team in completing compliance activities to ensure regulatory standards are met.
-Responsible for submitting required documentation and reports to relevant accrediting and regulatory bodies.
-Executes quality performance improvement plans and partners with local teams and department or floor-based teams to implement improvements as needed.
-Executes and tracks the performance of process changes or performance improvement activities.
-Understands data provided by the system team and uses knowledge of local practices to identify areas of opportunity for improvement, as well as communicate to the system areas that are at risk.
-Maintains established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction, quality improvement program, safety, compliance, and environmental standards.

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Experience in quality and clinical compliance 2-3 years required and Knowledge of principles of quality measurement, governmental and regulatory quality requirements, process improvement 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including staff at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated knowledge in executing improvements in clinical care, as well as holding themselves accountable to sustaining improvement over time.
- Demonstrated ability to execute a local quality performance and improvement portfolio.
- Other areas of knowledge include medical records systems, management information systems, applicable statutes and regulatory agency requirements, problem assessment and problem-solving techniques, and healthcare services.
- Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and organizational skills.
