Join Nationwide’s Small Commercial Portfolio Management team and spend your summer solving real problems, working with experienced professionals, and turning data into insights that influence how we grow and manage our business.
This is a hands-on internship built for curious, digitally fluent students who like to dig into data, ask good questions, and communicate what they find. You’ll contribute to real business initiatives and develop skills that will serve you throughout your career.
Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you will:
Assist with Data Projects: Help collect, organize, and analyze business data related to pricing, growth, distribution, and performance.
Turn Data into Insights: Identify patterns and trends and join discussions about how data informs decisions.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work alongside portfolio managers, underwriters, analysts, and sales partners to understand how different roles come together to contribute to business outcomes.
Create Visuals & Presentations: Help build simple dashboards or slide decks to communicate findings clearly and professionally.
Explore AI in Action: Learn how AI is used in insurance, like predictive modeling and automation, and assist with research or analysis involving AI tools.
Grow Professionally: Attend team meetings, training sessions, and intern events to build industry knowledge, professional confidence, and a network.
Own a Real Project: Take on a project tied to an actual business priority and present your findings and recommendations to Small Commercial leaders.
