Job Description

Analog Devices Inc's (ADI), Software Engineering and Solutions (SES) Platform Engineering team is seeking an enthusiastic and versatile software engineer with a passion for creating innovative and high-quality software products that allows our customers to improve time to market. The Platform Engineering team works across the organisation to provide tools and infrastructure to streamline the development, release, and deployment of software, as well as improve the developer experience by providing capabilities to increase developer productivity and reduce development overhead.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold a Computer Science Degree. Additionally, they will have demonstrated:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in DevOps, including proficiency in CI/CD methodologies and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Proficient in Git and GitHub workflows, with experience contributing to open-source projects on GitHub.
  • Skilled in programming and scripting with languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, Groovy, or Rust.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development across multiple operating systems: Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Familiarity with development tools, notably Visual Studio Code.
  • Practical experience with containerization technologies, specifically Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong interest in web technologies, including JavaScript, Node.js, React, and familiarity with testing frameworks.
  • Exposure to C/C++ and experience in embedded systems development.
  • Proven ability to thrive in an Agile software development setting.
  • A commitment to quality and a thorough understanding of process improvement.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills, with the ability to also work independently in a supportive environment.
  • But most importantly, enthusiasm, collaboration, and a solid work ethic are valued more than any skill!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Drive the architectural decisions and development strategies that align with the company’s goals and customer needs.
  • Develop innovative tools, infrastructure, and systems to enhance software development at ADI.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers to automate and refine the development and release workflows.
  • Partner with software development teams to help them follow established best practices and processes.
  • Focus on enhancing the developer experience through streamlined workflows and efficient practices.
  • Deliver outstanding support to both internal and external customers.
  • Work to meet clearly defined schedules as part of a distributed team working with many amazing employees all over the world.
