ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

Accountability for the ANZ P&L Statement. Leads the direction and people leadership of commercial team, with a broad influence over the full country team, including functions, to ensure strategic alignment and a productive business model.  Responsible for the design and execution of the countries strategy, supported by business metrics and analytics to serve the business and improve the quality of the ANZ business while making selective investments in growth.  The role requires strong people leadership, Cross functional engagement, Agricultural market knowledge, resource allocation and customer engagement and programs aligned to the country strategy and mission. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·       Design and execution of ANZ commercial strategy

·       Develop strong relationships and appropriate profile with key ANZ customer contacts and industry stakeholders,

·       Involved in key commercial processes:  Integrated Business Planning process, Multiyear plan, CU Execution plan, Sales Incentive Program, Commercial Excellence, KPI’s, CX projects.

·       Responsible for all people management activities within the ANZ commercial team including succession planning, resource deployment and career development

·       Is a core team member of the ANZ CU LT

·       Close working relationship with Commercial Excellence function to leverage commercial processes and systems to support country strategy

·       Close working relationship with the functional leaders supporting the ANZ business to ensure a balance between appropriate business support and leveraged resourcing.

·       Creates productive relationships and commercial programs with key customers to grow market share in targeted areas, 

·       Represents Corteva in industry associations, events and customer engagement sessions and articulates Corteva’s strategy,

·       Embeds Corteva Values and Market Shaper behavior in commercial team

·       Likely to become a signatory as Company Director for Corteva Agriscience Australia

·       Strong cross-functional and people leadership skills to gain alignment of all supporting functions to ANZ strategy,

·       Very strong communication and presentation skills.

·       Ability to create positive relationships and networks across multiple stakeholders (Industry, media, community, customers, consultants, food chain, govt officials),

·       Strategic insights and ability to recognize and design strategic objectives to improve the business,

·       Willingness to travel (mainly ANZ)

·       Listening skills and desire to learn from the team and customers,

·       Accountability to deliver results,

·       Able to make decisions without full data and certainty
