We’re currently looking for a proactive and organised Stores & Shipping Team Leader to coordinate daily warehouse operations and support a high-performing team based at our Skelmersdale Op Centre, WN8 9SU.

You’ll oversee picking, packing, shipping, and stock management while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety across all activities.

The salary for this position is £29,768 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prioritise daily workflows to meet operational targets

• Allocate picking, packing, and shipping tasks based on workload

• Lead, coach, and support team members to maintain performance and quality

• Ensure compliance with operating procedures, quality standards, and H&S regulations

• Act as the first point of contact for operational queries and issue resolution

• Oversee stock control and ensure accurate WMS recording

• Monitor order accuracy, labelling, and packing standards

• Support audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised warehouse environment

• Provide cover for the Warehouse Manager when required

About You

• FLT Counterbalance licence (essential)

• Experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments

• Strong knowledge of WMS and handheld scanning systems

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

• Confident communicator with team leadership experience

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
